New York Dining

Since you won't really have that much time to sample the thousands of NYC restaurants, we'll only list a few of our favorites.

Gotham Bar and Grill - 12 East 12 Street (between 5th Avenue and University Place)
212-620-4020
Reservations a must
Bring your platinum card! The setting, the service, and the food presentation can't be beat. And it's right down the street from our house.

Gramercy Tavern - 42 East 20 Street (between Broadway and Park Ave. South)
212-477-0777
Rated #2 in popularity by Zagats.
2 choices - the more casual and less expensive front area (no reservations needed) or the "classic Yankee" back rooms -reservations needed.

Asia Du Cuba - Morgans Hotel, 237 Madison Avenue (between 37 and 38 Street)
212-726-7755
Very trendy restaurant - Asian-fusion food.

Carnegie Deli 854 Seventh Ave. (55 St)
212-757-2245
Crowded, but a deli legend. Take out or sit in noisy, crowded restaurant.

Ruby Foos - 1626 Broadway (49 St)
212-489-5600
Very glitzy and expensive but great sushi.

Republic - 37 Union Square West (between 16 and 17 St)
212-627-7172
Communal tables but good and inexpensive Asian food.

And for a quick snack, there are Korean salad bars on practically every block as well as all the "original famous Rays" pizza places. (the real one is on 6th avenue and 11th street)
